Our Review :

MediLynk Pain Relief Transdermal Glucosamine Cream (TGC) is tropically applied glucosamine cream products available from MediVizion. There are already many glucosamine products in the market but MediLynk TGC products have won us over.

One problem with many glucosamine products is that they are to be taken orally. Once in the body, most of it is broken down in the intestinal tract and only a tiny amount reaches the blood.

The other way will be to apply it directly on the skin. However, as glucosamine is water-soluble, it cannot be absorbed by the skin. Even when applied in cream form, it breaks down easily.

MediLynk overcome this by 'hidding' the glucosamine molecules within an oily covering allowing it to enter the skin. This allows the active ingredients to sink deep into the skin achieving a long lasting effect and leaves no scent after application. This makes it 8.89 times more effectively than with an oral dose. 

Although MediLynk High Strength Transdermal Glucosamine Cream and MediLynk Pain Relief Transdermal Glucosamine Cream both contains industry's highest concentration (10% w/w) of glucosamine sulphate, MediLynk Pain Relief Transdermal Glucosamine Cream has been specially formulated with Capsaicin to provide pain relief.

Capsaicin is a purified alkaliod extract which is obtained from red chilli pepper (capcicums). It has been found to relieve pain by reducing substance P, which is found at nerve endings. Capsaicin has been shown to reduce the levels of Substance P probably by reducing the number of C-fibre nerves or causing these nerves to be more tolerant. Capsaicin is approved by the FDA for use for symptomatic relief of pain associated with osteoarthritis.

Tests have indicated that this substances is as effective at arthritis pain relief as nonprescription NSAIDs.

As glucosamine is an amino sugar that is produced naturally by our body, it is not an analgesic or an anti-inflammatory drug. It is therefore virtually free of all side effects and has no known contra-indications.
